ITraq Platform provides access to all the information about your customers
and their devices as well as an API and widgets that make the development of custom tracking solutions easy quick.
It covers the following areas of functionality:
Every custom application that will need to access the data about the location devices trackedby iTraq Platform need to receive from platform administrator a special unique key that will authenticate requests coming from the application to iTraq Platform. This key will be given to you once your request to become iTraq platform partner is approved.
Assign device to a specific user, programmatically enable or disable device, get device information and status
Get the location of any device, set/change reporting schedule, define guard zone and send alerts for leaving or entering the guard zone
Device location: to get the device location you need to know its IMEI number and has to be authenticated as a user of this device
Visualize the location of the devices in time
This interactive widget shows device current location and full history of location where it had been. Just select the customer(s) and set the time interval
To see how the device is moving from one location to another just click play and the gadget will animate the movement of the items you track. If you have multiple devices (even if you have devices of different type) you can still see them all in one mapping widget
User management: create/remove user’s account, handle user passwords, password reset and user authentication.
iTraq Tag is the first device created using iTraq Platform. It is a cellular tracking device - the world’s first global location device that can be found anywhere. Traq platform made it possible to build this device quickly and easily. It serves as a foundation of fast innovation required to bring new generations of tracking devices to the market.
Platform components used in iTraq Tag implementation:
First iTraq-compatible location tracking device:
Device location history: your application can request the history of the location reports for your devices, so you will know where the device had been in the time interval you defined.
Device location report notifications: your application can subscribe to be notified every time your device reports its location
Guard zone: Guard zone is defined as a circle around a particular location on the map. Your application can define the location and Guard zone radius.
Guard Zone alerts: your application can subscribe to the following events of iTraq Platform: device went outside Guard zone, device came back inside the Guard zone.
Reporting schedule: Your application can define location report schedule for all your devices or per device. Report Schedules can be simple when device reports its location every hour/day/week (minimal reporting interval is 10 min) or more complex when you define different intervals for different parts of day. Every time location tracking device wakes up, iTraq Platform server will tell it when to report next. You application can also define an Guard mode reporting – once the device is outside the Guard zone – it can start reporting its location with different frequency. Once it is back to Guard zone – it will return to its predefined reporting schedule.
Warning Alerts: you application can subscribe to low battery alerts and low reports alerts. These alerts will tell when the device needs to be recharged (if it is rechargeable) or your client need to repurchase additional reports (if the customer is on prepaid plan)
Share Device: iTraq compatible devices can be shared between multiple users, which gives the rights to more than one customer to have access to a device.
Device Info: If you know the IMEI number of the device, which is printed on every iTraq compatible device, you can get the device type and when it was activated or deactivated
Device management: Assign a new device to a user, remove device from a user, activate the device, and deactivate the device. Device deactivation is needed when your tracker is lost with no ability to recover it (for example in case you dropped it into the deep well).
Deactivation will cancel device’s SIM card, which might be necessary to stop monthly charges for this device.
